Fantastic Turkey Trot & Family Christmas
By Karen Kison
Wow! What an awesome way to end the year with our First Turkey Trot and our Seventh Annual Kid’s Christmas Play. We had 40 people participate in the Turkey Trot on November 22, and the weather was beautiful. Payton Stephenson finished first, Luke Doggett finished second, and Adam Szabo finished third in the Turkey Trot. They all won a turkey for Thanksgiving, and each child got a Turkey Trot medal, and we ended the run with a great breakfast buffet in the Willow Room. If you missed out this year, you will have to come next year as we shared lots of fun, food and fellowship with a little running on the side.

The Christmas Play with the children was a hit! We had singing, dancing, jokes, poem reading, piano playing, and violin playing—and even Santa Claus made an appearance! We had over 100 people in attendance to see the children and cheer them on in our annual play. In addition to the play, the children made arts & crafts, visited with Santa, and enjoyed the carriage rides. Mark your calendars for next year to take part in the fun and laughter that echoed through the halls of Willow Point.
We will not be having any exercise classes from December 24–January 1. We look forward to seeing you back in class on Friday, January 2, 2015! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday with your families. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Exercise Classes
Total Body - Weights & Toning
8:30 am on Monday and Wednesday Mornings
A 1-hour class that incorporates cardiovascular exercises as well as toning for all major muscle groups. This is a moderate-intensity, low-impact muscular endurance class. This class includes a short warm-up and cardio segment to get your body ready to work. We use weights, resist-o-balls, bands, weighted bars, rings and more to work all of our muscles. The class includes different activities each week, so it will never be boring! Using traditional weight moves mixed with Pilates, yoga and dance moves we will build strength, balance, good posture and toned muscles. The class always ends with stretching and breathing to cool down and loosen up muscles that have had a thorough workout.
Come and join us. If you have hand weights, bring them along. Everyone is welcome! You are never too young or too old to be fit and get into great shape.
Yoga

Regardless of your age, physical challenges or flexibility, yoga offers the tools to begin, maintain and advance yoga practices.
